Fell asleep early (again), got up around 7.
Ron had another accident, said it was the third day in a row.
Fixed an actual bug in MRS that’s been lurking all these years. Working on Remedy. Returned Andi’s computer.
Ron did laundry.
Participated in an hour and a half focus group on Health New England, learned it has a parent company Bay State Health which is both a claims-payer and a provider. Good group and moderator, learned some new facts.
Ron dumped the weeds we pulled yesterday, two tarp-fuls of Jewel Weed, at the transfer station and picked up his med at Walmart.
I sent Rebecca a photo yesterday of the Nasturtiums that grew from Wild Soul’s seed swap activity. Strange thing, also yesterday. While Ron picked up his replacement debit card at the credit union, I got gas at Cumby; they gave me 20 cents off for reasons I can’t quite figure out. I might be the only person in town who filled up yesterday for $3.79 a gallon.
Did a grocery run to get coffee, bread, chocolate for Ben’s 11th birthday and the makings of a modified charcuterie board: spreadable brie, goat cheese, smoked gouda, dill pickles, strawberries and blueberries with yogurt dip, crackers, Palmeritas. Picked up a couple of bottles of white wine at Spirits. We had a nice cocktail hour on the deck. Then Jett devoured the leftover brie. Brat.
I’m getting so that I can’t stand to watch the news. It is like someone said, Groundhog Day. A vigil is being planned for Sunday. I can’t see that standouts, vigils or protests have made a difference: people are still being murdered by ICE and Trump is manipulating death counts in the Middle East so he can brag about the supposedly low number.
This was Peter’s last day at CVS. He’s optimistic about his next gig and I hope to heck it works out for him. As far as I’ve heard, there are maybe only three really good places to work on Cape Cod. He can handle himself, been through a lot especially in the last two years, so this might be the job he retires from.
