First snow accumulation. Didn’t take us long to shovel and sweep. Bright sun this afternoon.
I have a cold.
Continued working on the stupid drapes.
Brought home two days’ worth of food from Domino’s. Good, too!

It’s cold out, not only because the temp is below freezing, but the wind is crazy.
After due diligence, got new Black Lion tires today at Cape & Islands. $500 plus tax.
Got first check from UI yesterday. I had a good medical checkup and so did Ron, today.
Dropping off an early Christmas present for Peter and Bonnie this evening: Cape Cod coffee, coffee, coffee and some spices.
Ron got himself some new long johns.
Triumphant day for all of us yesterday thanks to Alabama Senator-elect Doug Jones! So glad we contributed to his campaign.
Kitty was here, so Ron was on point to drop off Peter’s gifts and pick up Robert for work. We got Peter a set of Rubbermaid containers and a gift cert to Gustare.
I brought the truck to Midas; they found a leak near the O2 sensor and fixed it for no charge.
Picked up more lights for the big front bush at Job Lot. We put them on with little effort.
Laura came back last night.
Ron replaced the outer front door handle, and that was very good.
He also got the chopper/shredder unpacked.
I dug out grass from the last freestanding garden.
I destroyed two sets of outdoor lights trying to decorate the big front shrub.
Got into a screaming match with Ron over placing the wheels on the shredder. He was also irritatingly and irrationally bossy at the transfer station.
Ron bitched and moaned but we brought home the shredder I have longed for anyway.
My goal was to get it inside since it’s supposed to start raining later tonight.
We slid the 125 pound box down half of the extension ladder from the truck bed to the deck and then to the driveway, onto the hand truck and into the shed. We were able to fit it in the shed with all our other yard equipment, including the hand truck.
We also stopped at Trader Joe’s. Ron made a brief foray to Whole Foods on the lookout for Crofter’s jam.
We had a delightful (for me anyway) supper of soup, good bread and cheese.
Made pumpkin bread with gluten free flour and guar gum, forgetting that I’d added breadcrumbs to the pumpkin puree yesterday.
The bread turned out spectacularly: high, wide, beautiful.
Was able to apply for UI benefits; the final approval is dated today. Applied for three jobs.
Set up a new account at the new UWM website and took care of the December payment.
Poor Ron had to fast until 11:15 for a blood test. He was very disciplined; did the laundry and took a shower while he waited.
Kale and a couple of chard leaves from the garden.
“Vikings”: hail Ivar.
Baked the pumpkin from Edgewater today.
Had lunch with Paul at Panera.
Drapery hardware arrived today.
Good news from UI.
More work on “Roving”.
We moved the stained glass to the front window.
Ron mowed and mulched both front and back yards.
I dug up weeds from the birch garden and did a cropping of gone-bys. Was able to work in shirt sleeves most of the time.
No cooking today.
