Between the “hunt to kill for fun” gang and the holster sniffers, I figured I am a dead woman.

So far, I am still alive.

Had to run out before anyone else was awake to get toilet paper….

I dug up two big grasses that were pretty dead and transplanted volunteer flowers from the veg patches to make a new garden in one of the two areas. Checked out the stock at the Wholesale Nursery. I’ll wait for sales to fill in the other area.

I fixed a problem with MRS yesterday evening and another with NEPS today.

Saw a concert at Tanglewood in July that I’d love to attend.

Received a box of produce from Misfits: lettuce and tomatoes this time. Made a stew: kale, celery, scallions, red pepper, garlic, squash, sweet potatoes, garbanzos, can of diced tomatoes.

Watered the new plantings.

Baked brownies and biscuits.

Went to another hearing, this time about hunting in the Mashpee National Wildlife Preserve. Got thrown under the bus.

Maybe defending the innocent isn’t a bad way to honor those who are commemorated today, Yom HaShoah.

The daylilies around the mailbox were looking pretty scraggly, so I moved them to the front of both the left and right-hand fences.

I dug up violets from the garden that is supposed to be for herbs and planted them around the mailbox.

All in all, the front looks a lot neater.

We went to the Falmouth Service Center for groceries.

I had some little tests done at the Mashpee Senior Center health fair conducted by the VNA: total cholesterol, balance, blood sugar, blood pressure. Good results all around.

Had a brief chat with the DPW gardeners, who also take care of their own properties. They confirmed that the Town doesn’t use RoundUp.

Yesterday we dropped by the Lanes to meet Shane Clark, who is running for selectman.

We did the usual as well, laundry and changed sheets. At some point we brought yard detritus to the transfer station as well.

He came by this morning! Looks terrific.

I transplanted a forlorn astilbe into the corner garden.

Pruned the rest of the Montauks and raked out a good chunk of the U.

Sauteed a Mexican corn mix, without the cilantro, eggs, cheese and the otherwise inedible Dr. Praeger’s green burgers for breakfast. Excellent.

Finally got mrsAddOns to compile. Had to update VS2017 and add a new mail library, MailKit and MimeKit. Sent the developer $10.

Split and planted 3 more daylilies in front of the fence, nine in total.

Made vegetable stew.

Ron finished anchoring the little fence in the corner garden.

Total rain reached normal level for April.

We were in Wareham for Ron’s “ears”, Lowe’s and lunch at a fast Mexican food place.

Ron got into a long conversation with a Honda ST1300 owner.

I got a nice pair of New Balance sneakers at the LL Bean outlet, 30% off.

We made it back in time for the last Fit & Strong.

I’ve pulled a muscle or something in my right arm.

I got to Falmouth Eats Together as they were packing up, but the people at St. Anthony’s graciously loaded two supper boxes for me. Mexican food, again, but at least Ron and I got to eat. Together.

Pruned four Montauks in the morning, then to Edgewater and the Transfer Station.

Worthwhile session with the doc from Fallon.

Ron cut up the trunks and branches he took down the other day.

Ron did a load of laundry.

Beans and poached eggs for supper.

Did more cleanup in the morning until the rain picked up. Dropped in to Stop&Shop to congratulate the workers and pick up a few things.

Got my new glasses at Bayside; very pleased.

We donated blood after Fit & Strong. Split an eggplant parm at Pizza Guyz for supper.

Made pancakes for Ron. He discovered that adding cream cheese and maple syrup transforms them to sumptuous.

Put up the new little fence this morning and planted greens and carrot seeds. Dug up a couple of asparagus by mistake; not good.

The fence needs adjusting but it’ll keep out leaves for now.

Pruned the autumn clematis. Removed leaves all bloody day. Split a bottle of wine with Ron. Fell asleep watching Midsummer Murders and took a shower afterwards.

Ron is furious that the hose attachments he bought yesterday don’t work as he wants.

I may have reinjured my left hand. Not sure what happened, but for a short while, it hurt like the devil.

Ron grabbed an ice pack for me and made spaghetti for supper.

James is home for the weekend.

I dug out seven big clumps of pretty groundcover from one of the vegetable gardens and transplanted them to the hydrangea garden.

We went to Wareham for Ron’s eye tests, then to BK for veg burger meals!

After lunch, we went to Lowe’s for hose attachments (Ron) and a 2 foot fence and metal stakes (me) to keep the leaves out of the corner garden.

I planted beets and radishes. Roasted a smallish butternut squash. The Misfits box arrived early!
