Dog Day for Jett, he had his teeth cleaned and extracted.

Dog Day for me because I was sick from 3:30 am with severe stomach pain and diarrhea. Might have been food poisoning.

Ron was great, sort of. He drove to the vet hospital but didn’t check on how I was doing so stayed there from 8 to 10 or so, waiting for Jett to be finished.

It hadn’t occurred to me to tell him it was going to be all day and no one at the hospital noticed he was sitting there all that time.

I was in a lot of pain but on the way home – a much nicer route than the one we’ve been taking – I was able to fall asleep on the back seat.

Ron drove us to the Harper Center to pick up our lunches then to my meeting at Remedy Hall. Unfortunately, we were too late for the meeting.

We had a lot of rain yesterday, and the gardens and planters are showing good results. Especially pleased with the new garden by the driveway. The donations – daffs and daylilies – are sprouting new growth. The hydrangeas and lilac are definitely holding their own.

The lilies in the back are blooming and gorgeous. Several tomatoes on the Brandywines.

Saw a hummingbird feeding at the hosta flowers next to the deck!

AI has been a huge help in writing the inventory application for Remedy.

We picked up Jett at 5. He was groggy, didn’t feel like eating, but he did jump into bed with us. Quiet night.

Gorgeous ride back from the vet’s. Stopped for corn at Ioka Valley Farm. Better price than at the Williamstown farmstand.

It’s been raining since 9 this morning, just after Jett finished his business.

We’d bought tickets for the Theater Festival but as warned, it was almost impossible to find a place to park so after struggling to pry the car into a tiny spot, we decided to forget about it. Too many people anyway.

Ron bought new, better screws and was able to attach the new license plates to the Corolla, thus saving us a $15 service fee. He also got rid of the dealer’s license plate frames. Buh bye.

I’m continuing to work on the inventory application. Have an appointment to meet tomorrow. Will be busy: dropping off Jett in Pittsfield before 8:30 and picking up our lunch at the Harper Center before my meeting.

Lilies have started to bloom!

I folded and putt away the bedlinens, emptied the dishwasher, made the bed, cleaned up a couple of Jett’s trumps, signed the auto registration paperwork and watered the plants on the deck; it’s supposed to be a hot one, 90’s this afternoon.

Did some reading about our neighbor Dave, who is unusually accomplished and has done some impressive things in his life.

We had lunch at the Harper Center and listened to a presentation about hoarding.

Trip to the RMV was a success. The person who helped me is competent, friendly and efficient. Made an appointment for car to be inspected on Monday.

Celebrated with Prosecco and the dregs of red wine and whiskey.

I haven’t bought a car in 10 years, so have been at sea about paperwork.

An RMV customer service sent a clarifying email and an associate at GEICO had the RTA sealed and prepared, patiently retrieving my input via Chat.

Did some weeding and set up the tomato cage I bought last night at Tractor Supply. It has the easiest setup. In his fertilizer aroma-driven rampage, Jet had torn a couple of squash plant stems but seems to have left the tomatoes alone.

I added a report to the inventory management app and am almost ready to show it to Andi again.

Did laundry, changed the sheets.

Ron went to Walmart for OTC meds and brought home another pretty bargain plant from Tractor Supply.

I attended the Cultural Collab at Images. Liked the presentations but the room is small and too warm so likely won’t be back until the weather changes.

Had two hornets in my “office” last night. They ended up in the lamp, again, and I was able to get them outside.

Made up a solution of fish-based fertilizer and fed it to the vegetables. Jett tried to lap it up and I yelled so loudly at him that it made Millie bark.

Ron slept for a good 12-13 hours. He’s still not 100%. I suggested fluids, but was, of course, ignored.

I made a casserole of yogurt, cheddar, white beans, cooked kale, quinoa, onions. Also baked brownies. We are devouring both, but what a mess to clean up! I finished loading the dishwasher with relatively small things, leaving the big ones for Ron, I hope.

As if that weren’t enough, I noticed that there was debris under the shelves in the frig door. We got them cleaned and everything back in place, but a jar of peppers spilled in the process. Ron was helpful.

Jet’s food arrived today, so in the last 24 hours or so, he’s received three packages and is all set for the next three weeks.

After struggling with Edible Arrangements, sent $50 through PayPal to Robert for his birthday. He’s not making a big deal of turning 30, but it’s a big deal for me!

Washed a couple more “big things”. Didn’t leave a lot for Ron to do. His normally cold hands were warm.

I’m giving up on standouts. Those who organize and attend them are almost as much a cult as the Christian Nationalist MAGA Trumpists.

Watched the news segment on the first deportation of supposedly illegal aliens from Alligator Alcatraz. I hope there are no innocents on these flights.

We were able to get a second opinion this afternoon to discuss what dental procedures Jett needs. While we were there, they took a sample for pre-anesthesia blood work.

Both his flea/tick and heartworm meds arrived today. He likes the heartworm chew but refused the flea/tick (Bravecto) until the technician covered it with peanut butter.

Ron went to bed early, exhausted. He mowed the front lawn yesterday, finished the back and did a late day transfer station run with a huge bag of grass clippings plus a smaller back of weeds.

We also picked up a pizza at Big Y and did a liquor store run yesterday afternoon. Today we stopped at Target on the way back from Pittsfield so I could pick up 4 cup coffee filters.

Yesterday I/we gave Ben an early birthday present.

Hot yesterday and today. Humidity was unendurable this evening. We’d talked about attending a concert at the Congregational Church but were not up for it, unfortunately.

We’ve done a lot of running around and I’m tired, too. Finally received the sales receipt and title from Toyota Financial so need to get to the Registry. I’m dreading it.

Kitchen window was the most difficult to get out and especially back in.

I promised myself I’d do no work today. Promise not kept.

Did a laundry, got bed linens ready for next week.

Set up meds.

Watered the center oval garden.

Did a run to Stop & Shop, Ron redeemed over $3.00 worth of cans and bottles. Got cash at the bank, bought corn and a peach at Chenail’s farm stand. Loaded and ran the dishwasher, cleaned up the kitchen. Walked 1.6 miles with Ron and Jett at The Spruces. Gorgeous walk, gorgeous day but it got little too hot (80’s) in the sun.

Unwound over drinks and a light meal on the deck.

Washed the three front windows and the door to the deck. Cleaned the farmhouse sink in the bathroom, long overdue.

We cleaned up the kitchen and changed the sheets. I did a medium load of laundry.

Took advantage of a sale yesterday at Walgreens, two for one peanuts and laundry detergent.

Encouraging email from Andi, continued work on the inventory project.

Ron went to the redemption center and to Stop & Shop.

Cold this morning (50’s), warmed up to 80’s this afternoon.

Aside from buying a couple of $2 geraniums and a cuke at the Williamstown Farmer’s Market, we had a very low-key day.

Did a grocery run at Stop & Shop to get free ice cream and a few staples. Saved over $7: not bad.

I watered the flowers on the deck and spruced up one of the arrangements. Did a white wash.

Spent a couple of hours reading. Corn for supper.

Last night, we decided to leave the cars in the driveway because I noticed the attic stairway looked like it wasn’t well tied up. We didn’t get to it today, maybe tomorrow.

While I was looking for my lipstick, found a shopping bag full of CD’s and Ron’s old set of keys.

NEEM’d the hibiscus.

Watched a splendid nature film about the Pacific Ocean narrated by Obama. Stunning photography and videography.

Ron drove Jett and I to his vet for a second copy of his Heartworm prevention med.

I ordered it through Chewy which offered a $20 discount and a promise to reimburse me for the cost of sending the script via Priority Mail.

I don’t know what happened to the first script, which was next to my computer and then disappeared. I thought maybe Jett ate it; we’ll see in a day or so.

I mailed the script at the Williamstown Post Office and was helped by the Postmaster. In the course of chatting, he told me that his son collects old vehicle parts. Asked him if he might have parts for the Tacoma. He does our mail route from time to time so he’d stop by if so.

On the way back to Williamstown, we stopped at a farm for butter and sugar corn, peaches and blueberries. As we were leaving, a boy led a disheveled calf to the farm stand.

Ron and I enjoyed the good weather with wine on the deck. I briefly attended Greylock Together’s “Good Trouble” session at the Congregational Church.
