Bread
Made pumpkin bread with gluten free flour and guar gum, forgetting that I’d added breadcrumbs to the pumpkin puree yesterday.
The bread turned out spectacularly: high, wide, beautiful.
Was able to apply for UI benefits; the final approval is dated today. Applied for three jobs.
Set up a new account at the new UWM website and took care of the December payment.
Poor Ron had to fast until 11:15 for a blood test. He was very disciplined; did the laundry and took a shower while he waited.
Kale and a couple of chard leaves from the garden.
“Vikings”: hail Ivar.
Pumpkin
Baked the pumpkin from Edgewater today.
Had lunch with Paul at Panera.
Drapery hardware arrived today.
Good news from UI.

Lawn, Garden Cleanup; Stained Glass
We moved the stained glass to the front window.
Ron mowed and mulched both front and back yards.
I dug up weeds from the birch garden and did a cropping of gone-bys. Was able to work in shirt sleeves most of the time.
No cooking today.
Good CheckUp; Made Pies
Made two pumpkin pies and a pumpkin pudding.
Ron washed the floors and ferried Robert to and from work.
Good appointment today with DvH. Bad cholesterol is down, good is up. Got a tetanus shot. Dog has had all her shots.
Ron made ravioli and salad for supper.
Dropped off the sign to A&A on the way back from Teaticket. Bought Ron a couple of bags of penny candy!
Bailey Nicked Me; Fence Cleanup; Check Engine Light
Cleaned up the front of the fence. Brought trash, yard debris, recycling and a mattress to the transfer station.
Stopped at Panera to pickup my freebies, a bagel and a bowl of soup. Brought hot chocolate to iCape; both boys were working today.
Picked up eggs, garlic and salad turnips from Pariah Dog. Bailey got excited and nicked the little finger on my left hand. I think he thought the turnips were treats.
Laundry and sheets, as usual.
Planted garlic in the corn garden.
Check engine light on again.
Yet Another Trip to Job Lot
We’re passing on holiday events this year, even the open house at the Historical Society.
Picked up a slew of tool hangers for the sheds. Ordered new hardware for the traverse rod. Bought facecloths and a bath sheet for Ron.

Sussed out a vexing problem with Warranty. Made good progress on RovingGM.
Loaded the weedings into the truck. Sifted out a bucket and a half of soil.
Blood Test; Weeding
Made it to CLab at 7; they’d already taken care of about a dozen people.
Finished removing grass from the corn and bean gardens.
Made progress on both projects for Jim.
Ordered overalls yesterday for Ron; they shipped today.
Blood; Teeth; Check Engine Light
Donated blood yesterday. Had my teeth cleaned today.
Brought the truck to Midas for replacement of the rear catalytic converter. Unfortunately, the check engine light came on today.
Ron and I went to the SPEA meeting last night and came away as disgusted as ever: same old clique, same old BS. I checked out some options for transfer of their website so I can be done with all of it.
7th Anniversary
We changed sheets, did laundry and transfer station run, and I dug up the rest of the grass around the tomato garden.
Seems I mended fences with Laura. Hope it sticks.
Dropped the truck off at Hyannis Toyota and picked up two excellent vegetarian entrees at Not Your Average Joe’s. They gave 20% off on take-out orders because the Patriots were playing.
