Hardware Cloth; Plant Sales

Ended up ordering 1/4 inch grid hardware cloth online.

Adapter for the ice machine arrived yesterday.

Transplanted the poor bean plants, which were dying for lack of water.

Alpha and I visited the yoga studio yesterday. I got us two half-price month memberships. We made plans to attend the class on Wednesdays at 12:30.

Alpha baked brownies for herself, the boys and Ron.

Brought home plants today from two sales. The best was a new one at the HS. Got rosemary from the Master Gardeners but picked up a bunch of bargains at the HS, including 2 geraniums for a hanging planter; marigolds for the vegetable garden; and Rudbeckia, phlox and a purple something-or-other for the corner garden. Got everything in the ground and watered in two hours, and transplanted the big weedy thing from the veggie garden.

Unfortunately, I forgot to pick Robert up for work.

Finished about 95% of the grass cleanup in the garden in front of the fence. Managed to retrieve a good amount of soil and got all the tools in before dark.

Did remember to drive Robert home!

Income Gap, Big Deal

Zip code isn’t necessarily deterministic when it comes to developing an appreciation for the arts, an understanding of history, interesting friendships or a refined aesthetic. Seems to me those are the benefits of being in the upper/upper-middle class, and all of these can be had for free.

JALC at Doha

Trivial fact: JALC at Doha is broadcast live from the St. Regis Doha. In Qatar. Which explains how we see a nighttime venue when it’s daytime here. I know, duh, who cares, right?

Mashpee TV posted the candidate video. I swear, people with cameras go out of their way to make me look even uglier than I do in person!

Lights, Camera, Action

Ron volunteered to be my cheering section yesterday at Mashpee TV. He graciously treated me and Robert to good eats at Panera afterwards.

Our oak trees have been attacked by squirrels, nothing more.

Planted the rest of the Kentuck Wonder sprouts.

In a Nutshell

“In contrast to the empathy it shows for itself, the Jewish community as a whole, to the extent it submits to its representative elites, tends to behave towards the mass of Gentiles in a psychopathic rather than empathic manner. This is why a goy observer, Werner Sombart, despite his reputation as a Semitophile, highlights features of Jewish collective psychology that are similar to psychopathic tendencies including a temperament that is “coldly utilitarian” and “calculating,” alongside a propensity to mimicry, combined with a mechanical conception of human relations. (9) The founder of sociology Emile Durkheim (1858-1917), very critical of his Jewish community, noticed among Jewish intellectuals a pragmatic and self-interested notion of truth, which can be compared with that of the psychopath: “The Jew . . . seeks to learn not in order to replace his collective prejudices by reflective thought, but merely to be better armed for the struggle. . . . [H]e superimposes this intellectual life upon his habitual routine with no effect of the former upon the latter”. (10) Many Jewish historians, for example, seem to value History less as a pursuit of truth than as a means of power.”

Planting Jenny’s

We made it to Jenny’s Edibles today and planted radishes, squash and milkweed.

Transplanted some of the beans from downstairs as well.

Did the usual chores.  Easy transfer station run.  Rainy and cool most of the day until about 4 or so.
