Did two hours of green bean picking yesterday and a half hour on the rowing machine.

Ron was hurting from his session yesterday anchoring gutter guards so took the day off to recupe.

Spent some time with G and Free today shuttling from a medical lab to her doctor’s office to the pharmacy. G was nice enough to treat me to lunch. I got to walk Free.

I picked up the two meds needed for the colonoscopy prep next week. Had a lousy experience yesterday at S&S pharmacy yesterday. Not worth the convenience factor.

Ron has been busy with the gutter guards in the front.

I paid household bills and reconciled the checkbooks.

I prepped and cooked for a good part of yesterday, didn’t leave the property.

Made two salads, kale with tahini and a green; yellow squash, tomato parm casserole; baba ganoush.

Ron did the transfer station run.

We had a delightful cocktail hour on the deck.

Yesterday, Ron did a fair amount of tree work next to the driveway. He’ll cut up the branches. I loaded the truck for Emma’s sheep. Did the MTR standout in the morning.

We’ve been enjoying the rowing machine.

This morning Rondromat did laundry and we changed sheets. I cooked poached eggs with sauteed vegetables and made another attempt at cleaning the oven from the mishap the other day when I burned my hand and spilled a sheet of roasted vegetables. It would be nice to rent a steam cleaner (Home Depot) for the stove.

Changed the water pitcher filter a couple of days ago.

I dropped the leaves off at Emma’s and had a nice visit afterwards with G and Free. G made my day by serving prosecco, which I’d been craving since hearing about a party to which I’d not been invited.

Picked up a few groceries at Stop & Shop.

I baked turnips with garlic and breaded zuke and eggplant.

Made sauce with two pounds of fresh tomatoes.

All turned out well.

I went to CVS to pick up a photo order and of course, three employees and another customer assumed the worst, that I was trying to avoid the checkout line. I started to cry in sheer frustration. The clerk was sincerely apologetic and helped me with my order when the idiot machine failed to read the QR code.

Ron did the same when I burnt my hand on a hot cookie sheet, figuring that I yelled because I lost my temper and not because I was hurt.

The grease smoke from the oven mishap did disrupt the house, but thank goodness, once again, for the whole house fan, which took care of it.

It was hot and humid outside, so the poor central a/c has had hard duty to fix our air so that we can breathe.

Ron is off to pick up Robert. We/I packed him some baked veggies and dipping sauce.
