Day started out pretty well. \u00a0I was up early and pruned\u00a0the front privets.<\/p>
Then we went to the Senior Center, where Ron crossed the line by defending another woman – from\u00a0me<\/span>!<\/p> We were in the lobby\u00a0waiting for the door to open. \u00a0A\u00a0very petite\u00a0lady stepped in front of us. \u00a0I said to her, the line is here. \u00a0She is deaf, indicated that she couldn’t hear me. \u00a0I said it again, louder. \u00a0She said she’d been waiting for longer than us, at which point I was ready to drop the conversation.<\/p> But, no.<\/p> Ron claimed that my tone was angry. \u00a0He started yelling at me and then another man piled on. \u00a0I told the other man to please mind his own business. \u00a0I blew up at Ron and everyone else because I’m sick and tired of being treated like shit by men because I’m not a petite cutie pie. \u00a0Ron continued to berate me from the Senior Center to home.<\/p> I was so disgusted that I decided\u00a0to work off my fury at Edgewater. \u00a0James was available, so he string-trimmed the yard. \u00a0I weeded and planted five flowers in the grass garden.<\/p> James asked for lunch in lieu of pay, and even though he was hungry, he suggested that we unload at the transfer station first so we could avoid crossing traffic: \u00a0smart AND thoughtful. \u00a0I had about half a truck load of recycling – I’d washed a pile of pots earlier – as well as detritus from the yards. \u00a0Also had a big cardboard box.<\/p> On the way back to Edgewater, we stopped at Pizza Prima. \u00a0James wanted to bring home a whole pizza, which I thought was nice of him.<\/p> Went back to Edgewater to finish planting and cleanup. \u00a0Came home and Ron had sawed most of the Russian olive. \u00a0He had lunch, finished cutting, and took off to pick up his meds at Stop & Shop. \u00a0I did a lot of trimming and loaded a pile on the truck for Emma’s sheep.<\/p> At Emma’s, we got to say “hi” to Woody, Joanne and Tiny Terror. \u00a0On the way home, we dropped off our four Fair passes to the Robbins’. \u00a0Got to chat briefly with Donald.<\/p> Spaghetti squash with sauce and cheese for dinner.<\/p> The old Dell is still not booting up, even with the new battery. \u00a0The hard drive is not compatible with the new Dell.<\/p> I tried.<\/p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Day started out pretty well. \u00a0I was up early and pruned\u00a0the front privets.Then we went to the Senior Center, where Ron crossed the line by defending another woman – from\u00a0me!We were in the lobby\u00a0waiting for the door to open. \u00a0A\u00a0very … Continue reading
