\nIt goes to show how preoccupied I’ve been lately, mistaking the platter-like, variegated leaves of nasturtiums for the heart-shaped cotyledons of morning glories.
\nRecognizing the beloved nasturtiums does make me VERY happy. It reminds me of the central California coast, Carmel in particular, where they grow<\/a> in some spots like kudzu.
\nParts of the gardens are out of control, presumably those species that like rainy, overcast weather.
\nSomeone said we’ve had six inches more rain than Seattle this year. This is much to my liking. Maybe it’ll drive away the rich second home owners with the Florida license plates who descend on this place like a curse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
