I was having a pretty good weekend – upbeat meeting with my best client yesterday; dinner, lots of laughs and a movie at a friend’s house last night; and finished a huge pile of laundry early enough to do a couple of productive transfer station runs with Peter today.
\nThen around 4 pm this afternoon, things went downhill, fast, and I started unravelling.<\/p>
\nGot it together in short order, but I really needed a shot of endorphins to settle me down.
\nReflexively, I opened the drawer where I keep candy and found two bags of M&Ms that I’d completely forgotten about. Not particularly good candy (next time, I’ll get some Dove bars), and not as good as finding a bag of cash, but it beat going out in the dark on a hunt for comfort food, and at the time, seemed like a minor miracle for that reason alone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
