I meant to post this on Saturday following the afternoon spent with Emme(8) and James(5):<\/p>


\nAs soon as the kids were in the truck, they started complaining about being hungry, a mystery since they’d only just finished their lunch.
\nThey dug into the supply of cookies I’d packed, but soon realized that they’d been confused: Emme said she was actually thirsty, not hungry at all.
\nI told her that she was smart to have realized that, and James, not to be outdone, agreed:
