{"id":379,"date":"2005-07-06T10:16:11","date_gmt":"2005-07-06T15:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hendersonbrook.net\/wp\/?p=379"},"modified":"2005-07-06T10:16:11","modified_gmt":"2005-07-06T15:16:11","slug":"more-damp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hendersonbrook.net\/?p=379","title":{"rendered":"More Damp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a picture-perfect July 4th weekend, we seem to be back in a pattern of soggy weather, which is great for evergreens, but can be nasty for flowers.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nIn fact, it was so foggy last night that we think the town of Mashpee stopped its annual fireworks display early &#8211; you couldn&#8217;t see anything.<br \/>\nWhich didn&#8217;t prevent hoardes of people from trying anyway.<br \/>\nI put in a petunia as a filler and hope I don&#8217;t regret it, noticed only afterwards that every blossom had an abudance of gray spots.<br \/>\nOne of the planters with pansies is doing fine, and responded well to pruning back.  The other is pretty lackluster.  Something has been eating the basil, and I can&#8217;t figure out how to stop it.<br \/>\nThe daylilies, though, are strong and healthy, and blooming, even the Spring transplants.
