{"id":215,"date":"2004-10-30T07:54:44","date_gmt":"2004-10-30T12:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hendersonbrook.net\/wp\/?p=215"},"modified":"2004-10-30T07:54:44","modified_gmt":"2004-10-30T12:54:44","slug":"gardeners-diary-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hendersonbrook.net\/?p=215","title":{"rendered":"Gardener&#8217;s Diary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gone, gone, gone.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nWe had some cold and very windy days\/nights this past week, and the impatiens are done, as well as the dahlias.<br \/>\nAs a result, while the pinks are barely hanging on, and the mums and verbena still look fresh, 3 of the planters are a depressing mess of dead annuals.<br \/>\nOn a brighter note, I redid P&B&#8217;s flower boxes last weekend, pulling out the silks that had been there since the spring.  I was able to ferret out four perfect little yellow mums and 8 tiny pumpkins at my favorite garden spot in Falmouth, and these are still intact and cheerful.<br \/>\nLast night I was kid-sitting at P&B&#8217;s, and spotted a fat possum raiding one of their trash cans.
