{"id":21013,"date":"2024-05-30T06:29:40","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T11:29:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hendersonbrook.net\/?p=21013"},"modified":"2024-05-31T16:18:06","modified_gmt":"2024-05-31T21:18:06","slug":"zooming-with-aaqi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hendersonbrook.net\/?p=21013","title":{"rendered":"ZOOMing with AAQI; Trump Convicted; Medicare Wellness Visit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Good conversation last night with three other people, two staffers from the Institute for Justice and a community activist from NYC, about the book <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Shielded: How the Police Became Untouchable<\/span>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in the day, I had lunch at the Food Project; it was mobbed, maybe because it&#8217;s end of month?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Had a fine meeting, actually my annual Medicare Wellness appointment, with a charming, intelligent, well-informed LPN at Williamstown Medical. She advised me to get updated inoculations.  We went through the Mass. Advanced Directive Form line by line; she suggested verbiage for instructions when I&#8217;m terminal. Dr. Kahn called to say hello. I was there for an hour and half, grabbed lunch afterwards at the hospital cafeteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emptied and washed the recycling bins and made a trip to the transfer station with a truck full of yard leavings. Happy to get this done midweek. Ron put leaves and other &#8220;brown&#8221; in the composter and chatted with the boys while they were on their trampoline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we went to a discussion\/lecture about dementia at Sweetwood, part of the Harper Center&#8217;s series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was hysterical with joy at Trump&#8217;s conviction on 34 felony counts.
