I rarely buy on impulse and hardly ever pay full price. Even though diagnosed with major depression, I never succumbed to shopping addiction. In short, I am the retail sector’s worst nightmare, but yesterday, I had not one, not two, but three really good shopping experiences.<\/p>

\nThe first was the CVS online photo service. My aunt Dora, who lives in Illinois, asked for some pix in her annual Christmas card. Since getting a digital camera back in 2005, I’ve taken hundreds of photos, but have never had prints made.
\nIt took a couple of tries with different browsers, but the CVS system is easy to use, and the order was processed as promised, with high quality and a reasonable price. I even got 50 free prints for signing up with my rewards card.
\nThe remaining shopping experiences were at Wareham Crossing, a brand new mall with an excellent selection of stores favored by the working and middle class, including JCPenney, Target, Old Navy, Lowe’s, Borders and Best Buy.
\nI visited both Penney’s and Target; those places really know how to treat a lady. I found a handbag in one and a bathrobe in the other, both on sale.
\nIt probably seems ridiculous to blog about this, but having a positive experience in the retail space is noteworthy because, aside from grocery stores and pharmacies, I venture into this territory so rarely that it’s surprising when I a) find something I like at an affordable price and b) am treated with courtesy.
