ZOOM With New Attorney

We got a referral through ARAG. Good meeting. He doesn’t think it would be to our benefit to set up a Trust for our house but will do that for us if we wish.

I’m feeling better. Ron washed the bedding, we changed the sheets. Took a shower, washed my hair.

Ordered a Walmart delivery, no fee. Forgot cheese, remembered Milk Bones.

Jett took his monthly Sentinel.

Ron went out for wine and cheddar slices. He’s outside now in below-freezing temps getting the mail and keeping an eye on Jett.

Tough Night, Better Afternoon

The leukocytes were working overtime last night; it was pretty uncomfortable, liquid and heavy phlem pouring out.

Ron did runs to the food pantry, transfer station town hall and library today. The last was to return the air quality monitor which reported “Good” air wherever I tested it.

Feeling better now at 2:00. Covid test was negative.

Called Mass. Senate Ways and Means and Senator Marks to request their support of the Workplace Psychological Safety Act.

Getting Better

My poor Leukocytes have been sacrificing themselves by the hundreds of thousands, and I’m starting to feel a little better. Ron, unfortunately, had another “accident” today.

I ordered groceries at Walmart yesterday afternoon and signed us up for Walmart+, too late for that order so Ron, Jett and I drove there around 7.

Bill from National Grid is once again $0.

Mower, Yard Work, Sick

We picked up the lawn mower yesterday. It was available on Monday but signals got crossed.

Ron finished the back yard. He’d raked the side yard; I helped bag. That pretty much takes care of leaves for now.

I did the North Adams standout. Brought home macaroons from Great Falls Baking Company.

Did two loads of laundry.

Had tickets to a jazz concert featuring vibes at the Clark last evening but since it was cold and raining and I felt lousy, stayed home.

Feels like the flu but perhaps moderated by the booster.

Not as cold today.

Went to a vendors market at McKay’s, came home with lemon/ginger scones for Ron and me.

Worked on Andi’s application. Mostly did nothing else besides reading the news. Did watch the start of the new season of “Landman”.

Ron watched a couple of football games and played fetch with Jett.

Microwaved potatoes and broccoli for supper.

First Snow

Noticed it a little after 7 pm when I let Jett out to relieve himself.

Spent most of the afternoon at Remedy. Had planned to do data input, ending up writing two new reports. Did add a few patron records.

Printer

Set up the new printer yesterday.

Changed sheets.

Ordered holiday lights for the front bushes.

Made pancakes this morning. Played fetch with Jett.

“Three Can” soup (tomatoes, corn, beans, spices) and Jiffy corn muffins for lunch.

Ordered incense and Winston Churchill’s favorite tea, Lapsang Souchong; he drank it with Scotch. Had a “Winnie” with lunch.

Ron took the truck to Harbor Freight for Jett’s food. Said roads were slippery, thought he lost his knit hat in West’s parking lot.

Frustrating to set up the HP printer. Tech support guy was responsive. I was being an idiot about one thing but not everything else.

Tried pre-paying for my appointment with the dermatologist later this month but had difficulty with the idiot web page.

Meanwhile, Ron thinks his only pair of boots are “lost”. Who knows? I think he was hallucinating, poor guy.

Quiet Sunday

Got myself in gear, showered and dressed, did a shop at Stop & Shop: Ron needed Neufchâtel, I wanted greens, cheese and cookies.

Made an appointment for a Tarot reading with Rebecca. Trying to understand why people don’t like me, starting from jump. Hoping for an insight; I like the cards.

I made a double batch of mac and cheese for Ron. Reheated the spaghetti squash with red sauce and mozzarella for me. We devoured a box of cookies.

Jett ate well and went out at 8:30.

Leaves, Tonneau Cover

Jett kept me company for most of the day.

We were up before six for breakfast. Mailman brought his new wet food later; he loves it.

We brought four bags of leaves to the transfer station around 8, I think, or maybe 9.

I blew off the deck and stuffed two or was it four more bags of leaves from the south side of the house. Ron brought two to the transfer station, then Jett and I brought the last two and the compost bucket around 2.

The passenger side tonneau cover clamp had gotten loose. I was able to tighten it: counter clockwise to tighten.

Ron picked up the mower yesterday from Aubuchon. It did start and he was able to finish the front. Unfortunately, when he ran out of gas and refilled it, it would not start again. He didn’t want to try it out today, brought it back.

The power cord was stuck. I think it was because the engine was hydrolocked; for some reason, Ron had put it on its side. There’s a nice video on YouTube that shows a way to fix this and I bet I could have done it but Ron had been picking away at me all day and I just ran out of caring.

We are heading to the North Adams Hospital in about an hour for his MRI.

Attorney, Laundry, Ron’s New Hearing Aides

It took hours but I was able to pull together the estate planning (haha) documents and complete the Trust attorney’s questionnaire.

Did two laundries.

We went to Pittsfield yesterday for an excellent meeting with Ron’s new audiologist (Doctor of Audiology in fact). She outfitted him with a pair of new hearing aides which seem to be working pretty well.

We weren’t done until close to 2 so we had lunch at Liberty Pizza. Brought home half a gigantic calzone.

Tried our new lightweight vacuum cleaner; works great on the stairs.

Today I continued cleaning the stovetop, soaked the knobs in Krud Kutter, removed the usual funk of 40 thousand years that was under them.

Ordered food for Jett with Ron’s debit card, which was at risk of being cancelled for lack of use.

Ron did some grass mowing yesterday in the front but couldn’t finish because the pull cord was stuck. We discovered that the mechanic at Aubuchon might be able to fix it, so Ron brought it in today.
