Memorial Day Weekend

It was predicted to be a loser, but the weather so far as been good this unofficial start of the summer.
Memorial day brings garden pests and the start of bitching season, a high-pitched whine ending around Labor Day about the “hordes” of tourists, most of whom, truth be told, are a good deal nicer than the natives.

Plant sales start in earnest today, there are probably half a dozen at various locations, including across the street.
I did a survey of the gardens this morning and found only a couple of empty spots, so it’ll be worth it to check out what the Master Gardners have to offer.

Not Bad At All

The wedding I blogged about a couple of days ago was a very classy, high-style event.
I got to sit with P&B, plus some old family friends. The band WAS good, the setting WAS sublime, and the bride and groom were happy and gracious.
My sister and brother-in-law really REALLY know how to throw a party, and their kids are savvy enough to have hooked up with in-laws who also have made entertaining a fine art.
